Press Release

On September 8, 2017, SPIE Netherlands acquired 100% of the issued shares of Ziut.

Ziut operates in the public space lighting market, providing traffic control, camera surveillance and Smart City development in partnership with operators, contractors and other clients.

JBR acted as M&A advisor to the shareholders of Ziut

In July, all parties reached an outline agreement. Coordination with employee participation, unions and the Consumer and Market Authority led to a final agreement. Ziut will continue to exist in its current form. This means that all Ziut employees will remain employed and the current terms of employment and collective bargaining agreements will remain in force.

As the Dutch market leader in opneable lighting, Ziut has a good basis for equipping cities with innovative and intelligent solutions, which fits well with one of the areas of expertise within SPIE's Smart city market segment.
