It was a very successful evening. Not only because of the four strong contributors, but also because we were able to have the conversation with each other again after so long!
After a welcome from Jan Kalisvaart and introductions by chairman Jos Arnoldussen, Paul Vervoort kicked off the evening and introduced the audience to the concept of restructuring. A very structured talk, on how to discuss the various phases in which a company can find itself. This is a useful capstone even for the seasoned restructuring professional.
After a short break, Christoph van Gampelaere discussed a number of tools that are highly applicable for restructuring, including the VICARS model he designed himself.
After a well catered 'walking dinner' by Figi, Arnoud van der Linge had the floor with a number of great practical examples. His powerful way of presenting, in combination with the different views that were highlighted, meant that no one's attention waned after dinner.
The finale of the evening was for 'mister WHOA' Mark Mouthaan. At a punishing pace, Mark covered the basics of the WHOA before zooming in on a number of recent court decisions, including his views on them.
After Harm Tunteler concluded the formal part and thanked the speakers, it was time to talk afterwards. Everything showed how much we all missed this and how nice it is that we can organize a themed seminar again.
On to the next one!
