The documentary "Nothing lasts forever" is a layered film about the impact of synthetic diamonds on the diamond world. It deals with the valuation of a diamond, the marketing violence, the emotion surrounding getting and giving a diamond and the cartelization of De Beers.
After watching the documentary, there were many emotions of disbelief, dismay and disillusionment.What is a "real" diamond, and can you tell? How do you guarantee the 'authenticity' of a diamond? But also about opportunities such as sustainability and affordability of the diamond industry.
