"Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice.

I put Heber J. Grant's quote into practice at JBR as a partner, where I contribute my knowledge and experience every day to the most diverse and far-reaching issues at the intersection of strategy and finance in the maritime and offshore sector.

I started at JBR in 2015, and was introduced and introduced to the maritime and offshore sector by Kees van Biert. It is a very tangible sector. We all know how goods are shipped around the world and how important that is. In addition, it involves hefty transactions, which makes it all the more interesting. Together with JBR's dedicated sector team, we advise maritime companies during acquisition processes, but also on valuations, financing and strategy. A nice side effect of this sector focus is that the companies we assist are located all over the world. In doing so, we also benefit from the international network we are part of, Global M&A Partners. We like to work with a local partner during the process of an international transaction, who can help us with aspects such as local legislation and certain cultural customs.

Register Valuator

After post-graduate studies in Business Valuation at RSM Erasmus University, I am now one of the 300 sworn Registered Valuators affiliated with the Dutch Institute for Registered Valuations (NIRV). Business Valuation is becoming increasingly professional and relevant has strategic value, partly due to the changing acquisition market. In a world of high uncertainty and shorter business life cycles, providing insight into risk is more important than ever before.

Partner at JBR

Since the beginning of 2021, I belong to JBR's partner team. Becoming a partner - co-investing - is something I always wanted and it feels great to be able to do this.
