Case
Interim - LeydenJar urgently needed an interim CFO
On the intercession of a good relation of Mandaat we were approached by the chairman of the Supervisory Board of LeydenJar, asking if we could provide an interim CFO at very short notice. This because they were in the middle of a next funding round and the sitting CFO was about to leave the organization.
In addition to the ongoing funding round at the European Investment Bank, there was also significant time pressure on reporting to shareholders and existing financiers. Combined with the Supervisory Board's desire for a new, bottom-up forecast, this meant that the CFO in office would have little or no familiarize time.
Our candidate had exactly the right background, including experience with scale-ups and funding rounds, and was able to start 'immediately'. The first weeks were very intensive, if only because the start fell in the middle of the vacation period and the expectations of the various stakeholders had to be managed.
The cooperation from both sides was so good that the interim CFO also participated in the search process for a permanent position and was finally appointed as permanent CFO after four months. Of course this was all done in close consultation between Mandaat and the client. With this the organization could continue on its chosen path during the interim period without transfer and loss of time. A nice result for all parties.
