Welcome to JBR: four new colleagues introduce themselves
Our team has been strengthened with four new employees, each with their own expertise and background.

From left to right: Carlijn Schoen (Intern Corporate Finance),Eliane Blomen (Director Strategy),Norma Lanting ( Work-Student Corporate Finance) and Marian Schilder ( Facilities Officer). They take us through their first impressions, expectations and motivation.
We strive to create an inclusive and diverse work environment. We see this not only in the different disciplines in which these four women work, but also in the unique perspectives they bring. In this collaborative interview, we get to know them better.
What attracted you to JBR and this position?
Eliane: "I have a broad background in strategic issues and have always been fascinated by the energy transition. JBR operates at the intersection of strategy and corporate finance, and works from solid sector knowledge, which I am happy to join. The collaboration with driven professionals immediately appealed to me. The open culture struck me. There is high-level work here, with plenty of room for collaboration."
Norma: "In addition to my studies, I wanted to gain practical experience in corporate finance. JBR offers me the opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. I notice that there is real attention to personal growth. That motivates me tremendously."
Carlijn: "For me, it was important to find an internship where I could learn a lot as well as make a contribution. JBR immediately felt like an environment where I could develop myself. From day one I was involved in ongoing cases, which accelerated the learning process."
Marian: "Working as a facilities assistant at JBR offers the perfect mix of inside and outside work. After 18 years as a graphic designer, I longed for a new challenge and this role offers me the variety I was looking for. While enjoying the beautifully refurbished premises, both inside and out, I can utilize my ICT skills and perhaps even use my graphic talent in the future. This versatile position offers a fresh new start."

Eliane: "I want to get to the bottom of challenging strategic issues and provide impactful solutions together with the team. I also look forward to exciting projects and valuable collaborations."
Carlijn: "Deepening my financial knowledge and discovering which direction within corporate finance suits me best. I hope to put my knowledge into practice, learn from the team and develop myself further. And of course finish my studies soon."
Norma: "To gain more experience in strategic thinking and advice as a working student. Every assignment is unique and the team approach not only ensures knowledge exchange, but also a shared focus on getting the best result. And, of course, I will be completing my master's degree."
Marian: "At JBR, as a facilities employee, I want to create an efficient and pleasant working environment. It gives me satisfaction to support my colleagues and make sure everything runs smoothly. Through my efforts and help, I contribute to a positive working atmosphere and efficiency."
