Consultant Corporate Finance

40 hours

Be at the heart of deals that matter as a Corporate Finance Consultant

Are you a strong communicator who can translate incisive analyses into everyday practice? Are you realistic, energetic, and hands-on, and do you want to combine substantive responsibility with direct client contact?

We are looking for a motivated Corporate Finance Consultant with two to five years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, M&A, or private equity, and a master’s degree in finance, business administration, and/or economics.

What will you do?

As a Corporate Finance Consultant, you are the linchpin of the deal team. With support from a partner or principal, you are involved in the entire process: from the initial meeting with the client through to the completion of the (often international) transaction.

You will advise clients on strategic decisions, business valuations, financing options, acquisitions, and negotiations. In addition, you will prepare financial analyses and models, contribute to sales documentation, and oversee sales and due diligence processes.

You understand and speak the client's language and are given plenty of freedom to take on responsibility independently. You work for both domestic and international clients.

About you

  • You have completed a university degree in finance, business administration, and/or economics, with a Master's in Finance.
  • Additional training in business valuation is a plus.
  • You have completed your master's program with a grade point average of at least 7.5.
  • You have two to five years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, M&A, or private equity.
  • You have an affinity for strategic issues that may extend beyond a single transaction.
  • You have experience in or an affinity for one or more of our sectors: Maritime & Offshore, Food & Agri, Healthcare, Energy & Materials Transition, Industrial Markets, and Digital & Technology.
  • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience with financial modeling.
  • You are proactive, independent, and a team player.
  • You have strong communication and writing skills.
  • You can coordinate work within multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior team members.
  • You identify business opportunities and contribute ideas for new projects.
  • You think in solutions, can move quickly and are interested in complex issues.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch and English.
  • You have a thorough command of PowerPoint and Excel.
  • An international mindset and a willingness to travel occasionally.

Our offer

  • A challenging position with a lot of responsibility and direct customer contact.
  • Work on national and international corporate finance and M&A issues.
  • A wonderful workplace in Zeist with ambitious colleagues.
  • A competitive salary.
  • A mobility budget or a company car.
  • A good work-life balance and the option to work hybrid.
  • 28 vacation days, with the option to purchase additional days.
  • A personalized onboarding program with guidance from a mentor.
  • Extensive opportunities for growth and training.
  • A close-knit team with an informal yet professional work environment.

How does your work look like?

Every client and every project is different. You’ll immerse yourself in the company, the industry, and the issue at hand. You’ll build financial models, conduct in-depth analyses, explore various scenarios, and prepare client presentations. In doing so, you’ll work as efficiently as possible using Copilot and Claude.

Your responsibilities will include addressing questions such as:

  • What is the best acquisition strategy?
  • What is the value of a company or business?
  • What sources of capital can be used to finance the growth of a family business?
  • Who are the most suitable buyers?
  • What is the best negotiation strategy?
  • What are the financial and strategic implications of a merger or acquisition?
  • Will the planned investments yield a sufficient return?

Your analyses help clients identify opportunities and risks and reach a well-considered and soundly substantiated decision.
